February 23: Being Progressive! (Cambridge, ME)
This is the second installment of our winter workshop series. This one will focus on staying progressive! How can you take basic tasks and make them more advanced so that your horse stays interested? Riding is optional - the entire course can be completed from the ground. Workshop will run 12:30pm - 3:30pm and will be held in an indoor arena at 145 Chandler Hill Road in Cambridge. $100 per person.
March 16: Being Progressive continued (Cambridge, ME)
This is the third installment of our winter workshop series. This one will be a continuation of the last workshop, and will focus on exercises aimed at yielding the shoulders as well as improving upward and downward transitions. Workshop will run 12:30pm - 3:30pm and will be held in an indoor arena at 145 Chandler Hill Road in Cambridge. $100 per person.
March 29: Classroom session: Trail Riding Preparation (Hollis, ME)
This class will cover the skills that your horse needs in order to be a confident and relaxed partner on the trails. We will go over exercises that you can start doing to better prepare your horse for trail riding season. $30 per person. Zoom link available for those that can't attend in person.
April 12: Riding from the Ground (Cambridge, ME)
This is the fourth installment of our winter workshop series. This class will focus on exercises that mimic riding from the ground. We will also introduce some obstacles for confidence building. Workshop will run 12:30pm - 3:30pm and will be held in an indoor arena at 145 Chandler Hill Road in Cambridge. $100 per person.
June 21: Introduction to Liberty (Hollis, ME)
This course is designed for people that are interested in playing at Liberty but aren't sure how to get started. We will spend the morning developing the skills necessary for both horse and human to being playing at liberty. In the afternoon, we will progress to short sessions at liberty for those that are ready. Class will run 9:00-4:00 with an hour break for lunch. The day will be a mix of classroom sessions, demos, and hands-on horse time. A small turnout area will be provided for your horse to use during breaks. $200 per person. Limited to 5 participants. No stallions. Rain date Sunday June 22.
July 19: Trail Riding Preparation (Hollis, ME)
We will work on building the skills necessary for the horse to be a relaxed and confident trail partner. Riding is not required - the entire day can be completed from the ground. Class will run 9:00-4:00 with an hour break for lunch. The day will be a mix of classroom sessions, demos, and hands-on horse time. A small turnout area will be provided for your horse to use during breaks. $200 per person. Limited to 5 participants. No stallions. Rain date Sunday July 20.
Private Study with Ashley (Hollis, ME)
Currently accepting students to come study with me at my home base for multiple days. This is not a specific course, but is designed for you to get lots of 1-on-1 time to accelerate your learning on whatever topics you would like to cover. Limited to 1 or 2 participants at a time.
